Hi, I'm Jasmine, and this is my cat, Meshy.
Two days
Meshy went from a normal, healthy cat to needing a blood transfusion in about two days. It happened very fast and it was terrifying. While we were still taking in what was happening, we got another shock: a blood test showed Meshy is type B, a rare blood type in cats.

Starting from zero
We called the existing registries for help. They pointed us to Facebook and Instagram and told us to ask the cat communities there.
So we did everything we could think of. We called cat cafés and breeders. We posted in every cat group we could find. We messaged strangers. The whole time, we were very aware that Meshy was running out of time.
The chain
Then my sister found an article from December 2025. A woman named Betsy Chen had been looking for a type B donor for her cat, Pepper, and her WhatsApp number was in the article.
I messaged her, and she replied within minutes. She asked what had happened, said she would help, and got in touch with her own donor. Soon after, I got an Instagram DM from Aida: she had a type B cat, and she could help.
We met Aida and her cat, Atlas, and Atlas gave his blood to Meshy.
While Aida and I were talking, I found out that Pepper was still unwell and might need a donor again at any time. Betsy had shared her donor's contact with us anyway, so that Meshy could be safe. I'll never forget that.

Why we built catblood.sg
Meshy is recovering well, and we know how lucky we were. Luck shouldn't be the plan. Cat owners in an emergency deserve real support. They shouldn't have to feel alone, and they shouldn't have to search social media for a stranger with the right blood type.
That's why we built catblood.sg.
